Testimonials From The Employers

  • Darren McCabe came to our farm from Drumlin House as well as two other participants from services in Cavan. They came to the farm one day a week for 30 weeks, learning many new skills  while embarking on a journey of self-development. Social interaction while on the farm and in the  local community has helped to transform confidence levels and new friendships have been made. It was a very positive experience for all involved.

  • Sean always displayed great enthusiasm and eagerness for the activities planned each day, he was always willing to learn and also to listen to any Health and Safety instructions. There were a broad range of tasks carried out on the farm in particular Sean appeared to enjoy feeding cattle hay/silage during the winter months and restoring the old Fordson tractor. Sean was very meticulous with the paint and made sure it was well brushed on. He got on well with the other participants, with members of my family and anyone else who came about the place. Sean was very easy to work with, we enjoyed having him on the farm.

  • Francis and Robert soon became involved in everything that was going on. They loved tending vegetables and flowers and they were meticulous at weeding. Francis loved housekeeping and bringing in logs for the fire. Robert liked bringing in vegetables for the dinner and collecting eggs. We all became great friends and were very sad on the day that they finished the pilot programme.
